Head of Brokerage

  • The employer is an international fintech company that develops financial applications for 100K+ active traders and investors all over the world, looking for an experienced senior Brokerage Director to steer the comprehensive brokerage operations in company. The responsibility and role include the operational and process management with main focus on the operational back office, trading services and support, institutional partnership customer onboarding, integration, configuration and support. The focus of the role is to efficiently manage, develop and optimize internal brokerage operations, workflows and processes. You will be fully in charge of overseeing and managing internal daily operations, procedures, processes and workflows of the brokerage company ensuring smooth coordination among different functional lines, including those in charge of trading product and business development markets.
  • The role will be placed in Limassol, Cyprus and will require traveling (when possible). The role allows for flexible working from home schedule but with certain minimum hours spent in the office.

You will plan, implement and oversee the operational activity of the brokerage back office, to ensure that all commercial and financial transactions with institutional clients, partners and counterparties are observed and contractual obligations respected. You will be in charge of setting up and operating a professional onboarding, integration and configuration workflow which will allow company' b2b, institutional clients and partners to successfully engage in business with us. Your underlying teams will be implementing and operating sophisticated trading services and trading support solutions which will be in use both by Retail and B2b business. You are also in charge of other vital components of successful brokerage, such as brokerage communication, etc…
Key requirements:
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in the financial services or fintech industry, of which at least 5 years in an executive leadership position. Comprehensive knowledge of forex, CFD's, stocks and other Financial Products.
  • In-depth understanding of the financial industry, trading and brokerage product, retail and institutional customer's needs and demands; detailed understanding of financial markets mechanics and infrastructure.
  • Thorough and professional understanding of internal brokerage processes, workflows and functions (pricing and execution, risk management, commercial, customer support, finance, technology, etc.)
  • Outstanding organizational, leadership abilities & a strong vision for the future.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Aptitude in decision-making, problem-solving and top-notch management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and guide teams for achieving goals, excellent team management skills.
  • Fluent English essential, Russian language is a distinct advantage.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, finance, engineering or relevant fields.
Would be a plus:
  • Working knowledge of data analysis, performance/operation metrics and preferably knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure.
  • Metatrader 4 / 5 architecture and infrastructure knowledge.
  • Active trading experience in financial markets.
  • Understanding of finances and a good grasp of financial math.
